You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand.

From Wild Woman Network:
Welcome to the springtime edition of Wild Woman Network Newsletter.

This issue is full of interesting articles. There are lots of links to pick from or try all of them. Spring cleaning is called for this time of year. That means everything - your home, office, your body and your spiritual and emotional side. If you’re going to shake things why not go all the way? By this time next month there will be a wild woman blog that will have more tips and more opportunities to share your thoughts. Enjoy this issue. Next month Barbara Winters will have a wonderful tips sheet about relocating to a new state. I will also share a little bit about my feng shui consultation. It was great fun and prompted me to shop, an activity low on my list of fun things to do. Yet it was great fun to choose things that would improve my life and not just diminish my bank account.

Making Time

The last couple of months have been unusually busy. I have had to tell people I was booked until the second weekend in May!! I was really, really cranky.

The end of March I went on retreat to a lovely monastery situated on the Hudson River. The weather was perfect. Warm. Blue skies. There were deer, lots of deer, running through the meadow. Perfect sunrises. I took advantage of the quiet and lack of a to-do list as a chance to rest. There was lots of great food, cookies, friends and time to just sit outside and be quiet. The amazing thing was the silence. The monastery has the great silence which begins at 9 PM and continues until after the 9 AM service the next morning. It allows everyone an opportunity to be still. Nothing is better then sitting outside and watching the sun rise over the horizon and to not say a thing. The sounds of the guest house as people wake up and move about are the most you will hear. Otherwise it was the twitter of birds, the occasional barking of a dog or the sound of a lone goose flying into the horizon. After multiple naps I read poetry out loud in a meadow. A month later I still feel the benefits of the time away from work and responsibilities.

The oddest thing for me at the retreat was feeling empty. Not in the Buddhist enlightened way, but there was not a thing going on in my head kind of empty. I had hit overload and there was just nothing more I could cram into my brain. Once I recharged I could focus and was able to take some time and think about my goals for this year. Like many of you my attempts to fulfill my goals hit the wall just about this time of year, forgotten when something more pressing came along. Part of my pre-retreat crankiness was losing sight of my goals and dreams for time consuming events that were not feeding me. I am happy when I have down time to just sit and think. Like my experience at the monastery I must quell the incessant barrage of external and internal noise and just listen in the silence. My added goal for this year is to add more quiet into my life. That means no TV, music or hefty book to distract me. Just silence. I look forward to it.

Here is my March column in Holistic Expressions: In the meantime take some time this spring to clean out the old stuff, freeing you up for some more interesting opportunities. Focus on the things that have the must meaning for you and get rid of the activities that waste your time. Revisit your goals and refocus your attention on completing them. And if you find they no longer hold value then just get rid of them. Add to life that which inspires and fulfils you.

Spring cleaning can be fun but making time to enjoy life is good too. Remember to take time for some quiet reflection. Reconnect with friends and family and must of all enjoy life.

Planting Our Creative Garden By Sandra Lee Schubert Spring to me is the perfect time to make plans and set goals. The air begins to vibrate, as everything starts to wake up. The birds are a bit perkier and lunchtime is for walking outside and not just huddling in warm offices. The ground has thawed enough for planting to begin. What we plant now will blossom and bear fruit in the summer and the fall. It is also the time to . . . . continue reading

A Panic Attack of the Gut By Steven E. Hodes, M.D.

A noted gastroenterologist and Mind/Body/Spirit Medicine specialist discusses why we must listen to our guts

Self-awareness precedes self-repair.

Listen to your gut. Gut reaction. My gut is telling me…

Ever wonder why our gastrointestinal tract is considered the source of intuitive knowledge or wisdom? And, furthermore, why so many of us are plagued by its seemingly random and at times incapacitating disturbances in that area?

Romantic tips by Laurie Sue Brockway
13 Steps For Making Your Romantic Dreams Come True:
"Always be ready - you can meet that special someone at the most unexpected times and places." --
Dr. Judy Kuriansky, The Complete Idiot's Guide To Dating

Welcome to Project Soul Mate.
These tips will help you to open your heart, your arms and your life to love in 2005 and beyond. Forget about searching for the one who might be The One. First, clean up stuff you no longer need, get your life in order, and simultaneously, get ready for love. Here are just a few of my pearls of wisdom on the topic, culled from more than 25 years of work on the front line of the Relationship Revolution and many more than that out and about on Love's Battlefield.

Tip #10: Let your imagination lead you closer to the love you desire.
There are many practical and spiritually creative ways to encourage your soul and subconscious mind to raise the vibrational forces on Project Soul Mate. Begin to imagine the love you want… or psychically tune into that love. Write, visualize, daydream, pray, and love your way to a great relationship. Cut out magazine pictures of couples in love, makes lists and write stories about the relationship you choose, use any creative tools you are comfortable with to ask for all the divine help you can get! Get together with a friend who is getting ready for love and partner up on the process.

Abundance tips from Lucia Luna: Do you really need to buy that?

Become aware of where you are to decide where to go next

Awareness is the first step towards change and growth. We have to first become aware of where we are in order to decide where we want to go. Likewise, until we become aware of what we DON'T know, it's impossible to intentionally grow, intentionally change, or intentionally try on a new perspective. My suggestion is that we listen to the experts, even when we think we are one, because there will always be that one gold nugget that will end up being the very element we were searching for! Make a decision to be open and willing to learn and to grow at all times. Make a decision to continue to read everything you can on the power of the mind, the power of intention, and the Universal Law of Attraction and how to Master life.

Lucia Luna, MSC, CHHC is an expert at empowering women to take their focus off perceived limitations and to use the power of the mind to move toward the fulfillment of their life purpose, visions, and goals. With over 30 years of business and professional experience, and over 20 years in the study and practice of meditation, nutrition, and deliberate creation, Lucia teaches prosperity and health mastery to groups and private clients.
